Harbut Legacy
History with Man o’ War, great Grandfather and Grandfather
Greg Harbut comes from a family line of noted horsemen. He is the Great Grandson of Will Harbut, and Grandson of Tom Harbut. Will Harbut was the groom to legendary racehorse Man o’ War. Tom Harbut was a prominent horseman in his own right, working with thoroughbreds associated with Elizabeth Arden, movie producer Louie B. Mayer, and Harry F. Guggenheim.
Tom also bred and owned the horse Touch Bar, who participated in the 1962 Kentucky Derby. Greg is proud of his family’s legacy and considers it an honor to follow in their footsteps.
